Terms of Service

Last updated 9 October 2026

The short version: you bring the words, Stillscope makes the video, you pay the posted price for the video you get, and you check and are responsible for what you publish.

Who we are

Stillscope is run by a sole proprietor based in Pakistan (“we” and “us” in these terms). You can reach us at support@stillscope.com. These terms are the agreement between you and us.

Using Stillscope

Stillscope turns a written script or a recorded voiceover into a finished video. You sign in with a Google account, and by using Stillscope you agree to these terms.

You must be at least 18 to use Stillscope. If you use it for a business, you confirm that you are allowed to accept these terms for that business. Keep your Google account secure: you are responsible for what happens in your studio.

While Stillscope is in early access, we open new accounts by hand. We may decline an account, or close one that breaks these terms. If you invite editors into your studio, they act on your behalf, and they can buy and spend your studio’s credits.

Credits and payment

Stillscope runs on prepaid credits. Every format has a posted price, shown in US dollars before you create anything: a rate per finished minute and, on some formats, a fixed charge for each video.

  • When you press Create, an estimate is held from your balance.
  • When the video is ready you are charged for its actual finished length at the rate shown when you created it, plus the format’s per-video charge if it has one, and the rest of the hold comes back.
  • A video that fails, or that you cancel, costs nothing — no per-video charge either.

You buy credits in packs from the Credits page in your account. Prices are in US dollars, and sales tax or VAT may be added at checkout, depending on where you live. Payments are processed by our payment provider, Whop: your receipt comes from Whop, and the charge on your card or bank statement may show Whop’s name. Larger amounts can be arranged with us directly.

If a payment is refunded, reversed or disputed, we remove the credits it bought from your balance. If some of them were already used, your balance can go below zero, and you can’t create new videos until it’s settled. We may close an account that disputes a payment it really made.

Credits are not money: they can only be spent on Stillscope, and they can’t be moved to another account. How refunds work is set out on the Refunds page.

Your content

You keep whatever rights you have in the scripts, recordings, photographs and clips you give us, and in the videos made from them. Stillscope claims no ownership of either.

You let us use that material to make your videos, to run and secure your account, and to fix what goes wrong — including passing it to the service providers that do parts of the work, such as narration, transcription and image or video generation. You must have the right to use everything you submit. Where you give us a real person’s face or voice, you must have that person’s permission to use it this way.

What goes into a video

Depending on the format, a video can contain archive footage and photographs from public collections, pictures found on the wider web, stock footage, and pictures, voices and presenters made with AI. None of that material is rights-cleared on your behalf, and pictures found on the web can belong to someone else.

AI gets things wrong: names, dates, facts, and details in pictures. Watch every video before you publish it. You are the publisher of anything you upload or share, and it is up to you to check that a video is accurate enough for its purpose and suits the place you publish it.

Labelling AI-made videos

Every Stillscope video contains material made or changed by AI, and some platforms and laws require that to be disclosed. YouTube, for example, asks you to turn on its “altered or synthetic content” setting when a video looks realistic, and the European Union requires AI-made pictures, sound or video that could pass for real people, places or events to be labelled as such. When you publish a Stillscope video, labelling it wherever that is required is up to you.

No promise of views or earnings

We don’t promise that a video will be accepted, recommended or monetised by YouTube or any other platform, or that it will earn anything. Each platform decides that under its own rules, which change.

Fair use of the service

Don’t use Stillscope to make anything unlawful, defamatory, hateful, harassing or sexually explicit; to impersonate someone, or use their likeness or voice without their consent; to make people believe that something false really happened, or that a real person said or did something they didn’t; or to infringe anyone else’s rights. Don’t try to break or overload the service or get around its limits, and don’t resell access to it without our agreement. We may stop a video, or close an account, that does any of these things.

Complaints about content

If you believe material given to Stillscope infringes your copyright, or uses your face or voice without your permission, email support@stillscope.com. Say what the material is, where you found it and why you object, and we will look into it and remove it where the law requires. For a video already published on YouTube or anywhere else, please also contact that platform.

Our service

The Stillscope name, website and software belong to us. These terms let you use them to make videos; they don’t give you any other rights in them.

Keeping your videos

Finished videos are kept for ten days and then deleted. Download anything you want to keep.

Changes and availability

We work to keep Stillscope running, but it is provided as it is. We may pause creation for maintenance, and formats, prices and features can change — especially during early access. A change of price never applies to a video you have already created. If we ever stop offering Stillscope altogether, we will tell you in advance and refund the credits you paid for and haven’t used.

We may update these terms. When we do, the date at the top changes, and if a change matters we will say so in the app.

Closing your account

You can close your account from your Account page at any time. Closing it doesn’t turn unused credits back into money, and finished videos still expire on their usual ten-day schedule.

Liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses — including revenue a channel did or did not earn — and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid for the credits involved.

Nothing in these terms limits a liability that the law does not allow to be limited, such as for fraud, or takes away rights you have as a consumer under the law where you live.

The law that applies

These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, and a dispute about them goes to the courts of Pakistan. Before it comes to that, please write to us: most problems can be fixed with an email. If you use Stillscope as a consumer, you also keep the protection of the laws of the country where you live, and you may be able to bring a claim in its courts.
